The Task Force on Mentoring of Montgomery County (TFM) is a Maryland non profit corporation established in 1991 by the Montgomery County Human Relations Commission.

The TFM was established due to the mounting evidence that mentoring could be used as a successful tool for identifying and engaging at-risk children and youth. As a community-based umbrella organization, the TFM’s methods are designed to provide young people with the opportunity to live a happier, healthier life with the help of caring, well-trained and dedicated volunteer mentors.
