Annual Breakfast Conference

On the first Thursday of October each year, the Task Force on Mentoring brings together the area's best and brightest to network on the topic of mentoring while enjoying a timely and inspiring presentation from leaders in our community. Montgomery County Mentor Network

The Montgomery County Mentor Network participants include representatives from mentor programs throughout the County and other interested parties. The Task Force on Mentoring of Montgomery County organizes educational forums and an annual conference for the mentoring network, and assists in the maintenance of a database of all active County mentoring programs. Members of the network are on an e-mail distribution list which receives periodic news and announcements which are pertinent to the Montgomery County mentoring community. To join the network and be added to our e-mail distribution list, fill out our on-line e-mail submission form.

Active Programs

All school-based programs meet weekly for one hour at the sponsoring school, and run from October-May. Non school-based programs vary in terms of location, duration and timing. Some programs meet in groups while others employ the more traditional one-on-one approach. Each session has a theme and planned activities, but also leaves room for individual input and time for the participants to lead the discussion in whatever direction they choose.

Since 2006, the following programs have reached out to TFM for support.  For many of these programs, TFM plays an active role in the weekly programming.
